Christian Republic, A Global Community

If you are looking to connect with other Christians around the world, join the Christian community Christian Republic.

Christian Republic has about 2,000 members from all over the globe. Membership from the United States accounts for about 1,200 of the members. This community seems relatively new and I can see where it will grow.

I recently became a member and have yet to fully set up camp with a profile pic and tidbits about myself, but the few times I've been to the site, I've really enjoyed the content.

When you join, you get your own page that you can customize and load up with personal content. You have your own blog. You can add photos or videos; and make friends, just like you do on other social networks.

When you blog, your post shows up in the community scroll of posts.

Also on the site, you'll find an inspirational library of videos, an online Bible with search capabilities, Daily Thoughts, Sermons, a Prayer Network, and an Events Calendar.

I especially liked the Sermons section. Archived are texts of sermons by Max Lucado, Rick Warren and Dr. John Maxwell. Of the 21 sermon authors, about a third of them have gone on to their final reward, which I thought was very interesting. You're able to reach back and read sermons by Billy Graham, Billy Sunday, Charles G. Finney and others.

Under the section Daily Thoughts, a prayer was posted by Joel Osteen.

With names like Lucado, Osteen and Warren as contributors, the Christian Republic community should have a bright future and be a bastion for Christians away from the spiritual skuttle you see on many sites.
