PRAYERS: How Can I Pray?

Growing up in a Catholic household, I had very well-defined ideas of what prayer was supposed to be. Most of the praying we did centered around pre-written prayers, which we recited. We had highly structured prayers like the Rosary to simple prayers like the Grace we said before a meal.

Prayer can be any time your spirit connects with God. You don't have to be on your knees or in a dark room or even a quiet place.

Before you begin a task, offer your work up to God. Ask God to bless the work you do.

This could be done when you are gardening, working on a project at your job, cleaning the house.

If you begin the task by thinking about God, you will have the LORD with you throughout the task.

Next time you have work to do, try it.
